Employment Opportunities: Materials Coordinator -Motor Manufacturing

Summary:

The candidate for this position must consent to and pass a background and drug test. This position will be responsible for supporting the following functional areas;

1. Receiving and shipping and associated transactions of materials to support production and development activities.

2. Logistical support: this includes de-trashing, kitting parts, and reviewing for kit shortages.

3. Support Manufacturing with the laser etching/cleaning of products

4. Packaging products per instructions.

5. Serves as final inspection prior to packaging – will review product based on predefined criteria.

6. Logistical support with the consumable and reorder point materials and supplies to support production.

7. Perform material movement transactions including purchased receipts, materials issue and kitting.

8. Support inventory accuracy programs – ensure materials are transacted in a timely and accurate manner.

9. Manage all inventory and materials transactions – ensure reconciliation of variances and near perfect accuracy of perpetual levels.

10. Operating of a Standup Counterbalance Forklift (we will certify the operator)

 

Direct Reports:  None- this is an individual contributor position reports to Director of Operations.

Hours of Work:  Full time– first shift, with overtime requirements to support mission requirements.

 

Demonstrated Experience Required:

·Experience using ERP Systems; MISys, QuickBooks, etc.

·Computer literacy – willingness to learn

·General Knowledge of Materials related Paperwork; BOL, Packing Slip, Invoice, etc.,

·Basic understanding of Inventory; counting, auditing, cycle-counting, put-away, etc.,

·Working with Logistics providers; UPS, FedEx, Trucking Companies, 3PL/4PL providers

Skills Required:

  • Attention to detail for inspection activity.
  • Follow work instructions for inspection and packaging requirements.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment in a global setting.
  • Physical Requirements; ability to lift packages or materials up to 35lbs and move products using MHE.
  • ERP knowledge and experience e.g. MISys, QuickBooks, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including effective written and oral communication abilities.
  • Strong Work Ethic.
  • Ability to work independently with little direction.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
